School’s back in session! If your children return home from school before you get home from work, home security cameras are a great way to check in and ease your worries about what they might be up to. Point a camera at the front door and you’ll be able to see when the kids get home in real time. With our automation services, when doors are opened or motion is detected, you receive an email or text alert to give you peace of mind that everyone has made it home safely.

Doorbell cameras are another option for monitoring your home. When paired with our automation services, you can see and talk to the person at your door using your smart device. This two-way interaction provides a way to communicate with your children when they get home from school and is an easy way to help ensure your kids are safe. You could even solve a television crisis like a dad from Michigan did in this viral video.

Safety Tips!

For children that walk to the bus stop or all the way to school, consider these safety tips:

• Always walk on the sidewalk if one is available; if your child must walk on the street, have them walk facing oncoming traffic

• Look left, right, then left again before crossing the street

• Walk with a group or a friend

• Plan and practice a safe walking route with the fewest and safest streets to cross

• Talk to your child about what to do if they are approached by a stranger

• Always cross the street in front of the bus when getting on and off, making sure you can be seen by the driver
